We'll systematically comb through the hair with a lice comb, looking for live lice and/or nits. This procedure takes up to a half-hour. If there is no evidence of head lice, we'll let you know, however If we do find lice or nits, we'll stop and discuss the treatment procedure.
The time needed for treatment varies from person to person. Severe infestations and length and type of hair make each case unique. Your appointment will not last more than three hours.
We want to be absolutely sure that you leave our care lice-free; therefore You may schedule an appointment three to four days after the initial treatment for a follow-up visit. This visit should be shorter than the first as most, if not all the lice were removed during the first appointment. The time required varies.
Long Island Lice are so confident of our results that we guarantee our services,
provided:
* everyone living in your household must get a head check
* each person found to have lice must be treated (per the schedule outlined at the visit)
If any (treated) person is found to still have lice at the end of the treatment cycle, we will retreat that person for free.
Please schedule in advance if possible; the start of the school year and after holiday breaks are busy times for our us. Payment is due at the time of service.

Until the treatment series has been completed, it is not uncommon for lice/nits to continue to be present. More than one appointment may be required to completely remove all lice and nits; therefore we encourage you to call for follow up checks.
